    NIPUN Lakshya stands for “National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy.” It is an ambitious initiative by the Government of India aimed at enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy skills among children. The primary goal is to ensure that every child in the country achieves foundational literacy and numeracy by the end of Grade 3, by the year 2026-27.
